The present IFPU Director is Professor Stefano Liberati (SISSA).
Competences:
It is the Director’s duty to:
- Convene and chair the Governing council, in its nominal and enlarged compositions;
- Implement the deliberations of the Governing council;
- Develop the utilization plan for funds and facilities to carry out the activities of the Institute;
- Coordinate the management of research funds allocated to the Institute.
The Director is appointed by the Director of SISSA, based on a proposal from the Governing council. The Director remains in office for a period of four years, possibly renewable once.
