The Institute for Fundamental Physics of the Universe opens a call of interest for two postdoctoral research positions to start in 2024.
Postdocs at IFPU work in close connections with staff members from the supporting institutions and also benefit from the extended visitor and research programs the Institute is hosting. The positions are for two years, with a possible extension to a third year.
The first postdoctoral position is related to topics closely connected to the research activity of the Astrophysics and Cosmology group at SISSA, including solar system, astrobiology, high-energy astrophysics, AGN, stellar and galaxy evolution, galaxy clusters, IGM, large-scale structure, cosmology and gravitational wave astrophysics. We particularly encourage applications from scientists with research records on spectrophotometric and astrochemical properties of high-z galaxies. For this position complete applications should be received no later than November 15th, 2023.
For the second position, the successful candidate is expected to conduct research in topics of interest for the Astronomical Observatory of Trieste and INAF. These include solar system, astrobiology, high-energy astrophysics, AGN, stellar and galaxy evolution, galaxy clusters, IGM, large-scale structure and cosmology. For this position complete applications should be received no later than December 11th, 2023.
Applications should be submitted via the AJO website at https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/26200. All applications will be considered for both positions, but at different times, according to the deadlines.
Update on November 1st, 2023
The call of an additional postdoctoral position with shared affiliation with IFPU is currently open at the Abdus Salaam International Center for Theoretical Physics. Applications should be submitted on the AJO page https://academicjobsonline.org/ajo/jobs/26408 with deadline for full consideration on November 30th, 2023
